Here is what you will be seeing throughout the course for distance markers. Any head between 50 and 300 yards from the middle of the green will have the digits of the proper yardage. Some heads along the property lines may not have these yardages on them.
Steve,
ReplyDeleteI was recently at a very prestigious golf course and I noticed that most of their sprinkler heads were in depressions, as though they had sunk into the ground. What caused this and how does L.U. prevent this from happening?

Steve,
ReplyDeleteOne more thing, I noticed that you recently started posting baseball scores instead of golf scores. If the Sox keep playing miserable ball, will you go back to golf scores?

Previously, CBS Sportsline had a seperate golf scoreboard link that would give all of the learderboards for the PGA, LPGA, Champions Tour and even the Europena Tour, it was perfect. But one day that "gadget" decided not to work anymore. I tried to re-load it onto the blog but to no avail. The only up-to-date sports scores I could find was the one posted now. As you know, I have a strong passion for baseball, though it is not my intention to have baseball scores on this site's front page. You can access golf scores by clicking to it next to MLB. For some reason it will not post to the site showing golf scores instead.
ReplyDeleteI continue to look for new gadgets to add to the site, however, it seems recently that Google has gone a bit backwards and has removed many of them.
Great question about the sinking irrigation heads, it will be my next blog.
